The city of Hanford is a commercial and cultural center occupying 16.6 square miles in south central San Joaquin Valley, California. Incorporated in 1891, Hanford serves as the county seat of Kings County and is the principal city of the Hanford-Corcoran, California Metropolitan Statistical Area.
