Mayo Clinic opened its Jacksonville, Florida, campus in 1986. It was Mayo's first location outside of Minnesota. Since then, the center has become a sprawling healthcare campus with more than 10,000 employees. An expansion project slated for 2026 completion will bring the facility's total number of beds up to 428.
Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville campus offers some of the most cutting-edge cancer therapies in the world. Qualified patients can get CAR T cells and other immunotherapies. And the center will soon have one of the most advanced radiation facilities in the country. It will be the first location in the Americas capable of providing carbon ion therapy.
