History of Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center
The Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center opened in 2025 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It was formed through a partnership between RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. This state-of-the-art facility was designed to expand access to advanced cancer care and research in the region.
Rutgers Cancer Institute is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer center in New Jersey. The Morris Cancer Center brings many research and treatment resources together under one roof. Cancer specialists work together at both Rutgers Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
This approach helps connect patients to leading therapies, multidisciplinary cancer care and clinical trials. The Morris Cancer Center's research network also supports treatment advances for mesothelioma and other rare cancers.
