Mesothelioma Cancer Centers
The Veterans Health Administration started during the Civil War and continued to expand across the United States, setting up treatment centers to aid veterans. The Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center has experience treating patients with a variety of conditions, especially those that have been diagnosed as a result of their time serving.
Most cases of mesothelioma are treated at the VA's Boston Healthcare System and Los Angeles Healthcare System. Their healthcare teams are experienced in performing pneumonectomy and pleurectomy procedures, both of which are common surgical procedures for treating malignant mesothelioma. The VA considers itself aleader in the treatment of mesothelioma, integrating the latest treatment practices into their care practices.
In addition to the treatment offered at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center, patients can also take advantage of a variety of other veteran-specific resources and support services during their diagnosis and treatment journey.
