Froedtert Hospital is within the health network of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). It provides more than 750 patient beds on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus. All Froedtert doctors are also faculty at MCW. They share a commitment to quality patient care, research and medical education.
Froedtert Hospital also has a 24-hour Cancer Clinic and the area’s only Level I Trauma Center. Froedtert doctors offer comprehensive cancer care, including chemotherapy, surgery and other treatments. Mesothelioma Care at Froedtert Hospital
Patients have many options for mesothelioma care at Froedtert Hospital’s Clinical Cancer Center. Cases of pleural mesothelioma are reviewed by a multidisciplinary board of specialists. This gives patients the benefit of various types of expertise, including that of thoracic surgeons and pulmonologists. These doctors have experience with an impressive range of treatment options.
Peritoneal mesothelioma cases can receive treatment through the Regional Cancer Therapy Program. Heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is among this group’s specialties. This type of chemo is the gold standard treatment for operable peritoneal mesothelioma. Froedtert’s surgeons have been offering this treatment for more than 15 years.
