Grand Haven was home to The Story and Clark Piano Company from 1900-1984. Today, the city is an active resort, boating, fishing, and port community, which boasts over 100 miles of bike trails, a state beach, boardwalk, two lighthouses, a pier, a large charter fishing fleet, and a Great Lakes port, where it imports limestone, slag, cement and coal while exporting sand.
