Sara Salger

Sara Salger is an asbestos attorney in Edwardsville, Illinois. She is a managing partner at The Gori Law Firm, where she has worked since it opened in 2008. The firm specializes in mesothelioma claims. It has earned over $4 billion for its clients. Sara is a legal contributor for Mesothelioma.com.

Sara received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. She completed her BS at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, graduating cum laude. She also studied International Law and Legal Studies at University College Cork and Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri.

In 2024, Sara became the 71st president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. She is only the third woman to hold the title. Upon stepping into the role, she said, “It’s a privilege to lead an organization dedicated to upholding justice and advocating for those who need it most.”

Upholding justice is a constant theme in Sara’s work. She has always worked closely with victims of asbestos exposure, tailoring each case to the individual. She strives to earn as much as she can for clients and their families to meet their unique goals.

Sara has received many awards for her work in personal injury law. She has won accolades like Emerging Lawyer, Lawyers of Distinction and National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. In 2020 the Plaintiffs Asbestos Litigation Seminar awarded Sara the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Award. Super Lawyers named her a Rising Star from 2015 – 2023 and a Super Lawyer in 2024. The latter distinction is reserved for the top 5% of practicing attorneys.

In addition to practicing law, Sara shares her expertise widely. She speaks everywhere from high school classrooms to law conferences. She also serves on philanthropic boards.
