City and county directories for the first quarter of the 20th century list as many as a dozen glass companies. Diamond Power Specialty Company, established in 1903, moved its headquarters to Lancaster in 1950, and are currently in operation as Diamond Power International, Incorporated. In 1973, Ralston Foods purchased a former General Mills plant, where they currently produce breakfast cereals.
