Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center was opened by Banner Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in September 2011. MD Anderson is known internationally for its cancer treatment and research, while Banner Health is one of the largest nonprofit hospital systems in the United States. As a result, this cancer center can offer some of the best treatment options to patients with a variety of conditions, including mesothelioma.

At Banner MD, oncologists treat mesothelioma on a case-by-case basis, taking type of mesothelioma, stage of the disease, location of the cancer, age and general health all into account when determining a treatment plan. Banner understands the value of clinical trials for treating mesothelioma, as well as the successes of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and targeted agents. They particularly favor minimally invasive surgeries and radiation therapy.

In addition to offering innovative treatment techniques, Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center also offers an array of support services, such as a Boutique of Hope, Clinical Navigators, rehabilitation and palliative medicine to help patients throughout their treatment journey and through recovery.
