Mesothelioma Cancer Centers
The Marquette General Cancer Center is operated under the auspices of the Marquette General Hospital, a federally designated Regional Referral Center which in turn is part of the larger Marquette General Health System. The hospital itself is a smaller facility with 315 beds and a staff of 200 physicians and 2200 allied health care workers serving 12,000 inpatients and approximately 350,000 outpatients a year.
Marquette General Hospital also collaborates with Northern Michigan University in the field of brain tumor research, and is home to the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center.

The Marquette General Cancer Center is a Community Cancer Center approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, assuring quality care for those patients able to afford it. The Center offers all of conventional forms of cancer diagnosis and treatment including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and clinical research. Marquette oncologists also serve eight communities throughout the Upper Peninsula region.
The Marquette General Cancer Center is also affiliated with Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit; cancer patients at the Center in Marquette in need of a second opinion may have their cases reviewed by Karmanos Cancer Center physicians, who will consult on proposed treatments.
