Mesophilianoma
Mesophilianoma is a common misspelling variation of the term "mesothelioma." Since the late 1970’s asbestos use has been banned in the U.S. but mesothelioma disease continues to present a threat to anyone exposed to asbestos products prior to that point in time.
Mesothelioma cancer can sometimes take as many as 40 or 50 years to begin to show signs and symptoms. There are many workers who breathed in harmful asbestos particles on the job without even knowing it and now, many years later are discovering that they have mesothelioma cancer.
This illness attacks the lining of various organs including the lungs (pleural mesothelioma), the abdomen (peritoneal mesothelioma), or the heart (pericardial mesothelioma). Breathlessness, coughing and pain in the chest are common mesothelioma symptoms. There are a variety of diagnostic procedures that are used to evaluate whether or not mesothelioma is present including X-ray’s, CT scans and MRI’s.
