Overview and Educational Background
Dr. Borys Mychalczak began his medical career at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He then went on to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to complete a residency and was board certified in Radiation Oncology. He has clinical experience in the most advanced types of radiation therapy including brachytherapy, intensity-modulated and image-guided radiation therapy.

Dr. Mychalczak specializes in the application of these radiation therapies to gynecologic, lung, head, neck, prostate, central nervous system and gastrointestinal malignancies. Radiation therapy is often used to treat various cancers like mesothelioma. He has spent over 20 years working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and currently serves as the Chief of Radiation Oncology at the regional care facility in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Dr. Mychalczak has clinical expertise in prostate cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancers, breast cancer, gynecologic tumors, brachytherapy and rectal cancer.

He has authored or co-authored a number of scholarly publications including, "Brachytherapy for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer and Selected Neoplasms of the Chest" which was published by the American College of Chest Physicians and "Prognosis of Patients Treated with Whole-Brain Radiation Therapy for Metastatic Gestational Trophoblastic Disease," which was published in Gynecologic Oncology.
