Chris Meisenkothen

Attorney Meisenkothen has focused almost exclusively on representing people who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. He has personally handled hundreds of mesothelioma cases (in addition to numerous other cases for asbestos-related lung cancer and other asbestos-related diseases). Chris co-chaired a trial in 2009 involving a Navy veteran who died from mesothelioma and won a verdict of $2,595,000, the largest asbestos jury verdict in Connecticut history. Chris has handled mesothelioma cases that have covered a wide range of settlement values up to over $3,000,000. Chris manages the firm's Connecticut docket and oversees all of the firm's Connecticut asbestos cases. He also manages the firm's asbestos- and toxin-related workers' compensation practice. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and Georgia, and in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticutand the Northern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of several professional organizations in the states where he is licensed, including the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association,the Connecticut Bar Association, and others.
Chris graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1996 with a bachelor of arts in history and sociology with distinction in history. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1999 and joined the firm in Augustof that year.
