Study of Everolimus for the Treatment of Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma
The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in collaboration with Novartis Pharmaceuticals is conducting a study of the effects of the drug Everolimus in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma who have not responded to traditional chemotherapy. The study goal is to determine if Everolimus, which works by blocking a protein that supports cancer growth, will slow the growth of or shrink mesothelioma. Drug safety will also be evaluated. The study is still recruiting participants.
