The company operates eight certified shipyards located throughout South Louisiana, and its main headquarters reside in Lockport. The company concentrates its construction on small to medium-sized offshore and inland vessels.

With sizes ranging from 87 to 170 feet, Bollinger has dispensed over sixty patrol boats since its establishment in 1985. The site has deck space available that can manage up to 400 long tons of cargo. Bollinger constructed the U.S. Army Barge Derrick, which has the capacity to lift 115 long tons of cargo, and its main task is to load and discharge heavy lift cargo beyond the capacity of a ship's gear. Bollinger Shipyard's recent achievements include the development of an offshore supply vessel with capacities of 30,000 gallons of fuel, 65,000 gallons of drill water/ballast, 1200 barrels of 22lb. liquid mud and 40,000 gallons of methanol.
