Station 2 has Asbestos Cleaned Out

Carcinogenic, friable asbestos was cleaned out of a fire station in Massachusetts just one month after asbestos fell on firefighters at Station 3 in Newton Centre. A report from samples taken indicated that four instances of friable asbestos were discovered and that the asbestos was not determined to be airborne.

Navy Veterans Exposed to Asbestos While on Duty

Navy Veterans who served on our nation’s warships and submarines from World War II through the Vietnam war were exposed to high concentrations of deadly asbestos in boiler rooms, engine rooms, sleeping quarters and other areas throughout the ships. As a result, Navy Veterans are at a higher risk for developing mesothelioma cancer.
