Anxiety (definition of)
Anxiety can refer to a wide range of complex, unpleasant emotions, primarily fear, apprehension, and worry. Physical symptoms include increased heart rate, nausea, sweating, and headaches.
Components
Anxiety manifests itself in four ways:
- cognitive
- behavioral
- somatic
- emotional
