Dr. Randall Trowbridge earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1972 and stayed at Baylor to complete an internal medicine residency. He then went on to the University of Minnesota to complete a Fellowship in medical oncology. He is board certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology.

Today, Dr. Trowbridge specializes in hematology and oncology with an interest in gastrointestinal malignancies. He practices with Indiana Oncology Hematology Consultants affiliated with the St. Francis Medical Group.

Peritoneal mesothelioma is a type of rare cancer that develops in the peritoneum, or lining of the abdomen. These malignancies often interfere with a patient's gastrointestinal function, and are quite difficult to treat. An oncologist with a specialty in these types of malignancies is generally part of a peritoneal mesothelioma patient's treatment team.
