Dr. H. Ian Robins

Overview

Dr. H. Ian Robins began his career in medicine after earning his medical degree from Boston University in 1976. He then fulfilled his internships and residencies at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinic followed by a fellowship at the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center. Currently, Dr. Robins is chairman of the Systemic Hypothermia Oncological working group at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

Professional Highlights

Dr. Robins focuses a great deal of research on neuro-oncology and works as a principal investigator on the North American Brain Tumor Consortium, Easter Cooperative Oncology Group and Radiation Therapy Oncology Group. His medical interests include, breast cancer, clinical hypnosis, lymphomas - low grade, malignant melanoma, neuro-oncology, sarcomas and systemic hyperthermia. He also has completed some work with malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer.

Clinical Research

Dr. Robins has published a number of scholarly articles including, "A phase I study of gemcitabine plus palliative radiation therapy for advanced lung cancer" in February 2008 and "Temozolomide as prophylaxis for brain metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer" in 2006.
