Ohio Company Launches Asbestos Cleanup System

ECO Cleaning Systems, based in Port Clinton, Ohio, is a manufacturer of environmentally responsible cleaning products. ECO has announced a new technology: the HydroRecyClean power wash system. The new cleaning system is being touted as "the only fully automatic and integrated system to recover wastewater, filter it on site for reuse, and convert recovered contaminants into non-leachable materials that can often be disposed of in general landfills." In simpler terms, "The HydroRecyClean system is the surface cleaning industry's first closed-loop water recovery and recycle system," said ECO Cleaning Systems Owner Sharlyn Trantham. "We're thrilled to be bringing to market this hassle-free solution to Clean Water Act compliance."

The HydroRecyClean system uses a series of six filters to remove contaminants from wastewater. The wastewater recovery happens simultaneously with the filtration action, and the system is capable of processing 10 gallons per minute. The HydroRecyClean system has many filtration applications, and can be used to safely filter out harmful contaminants such as hydrocarbons, oils, grease, cleaning chemicals, heavy metals such as lead, and asbestos. Asbestos, a known carcinogen, can enter water through aging asbestos-laden pipes, or from industrial debris. Asbestos exposure can sometimes cause lung cancer or pleural mesothelioma cancer.

"The HydroRecyClean filtration process is the only surface cleaning system available today that offers operators the ability to safely dispose of most of their recovered contaminants without paying HAZ Mat disposal fees," said ECO Cleaning Systems Founder and President Brent Kaiser. "Additionally, the system is the only one to provide filtered water for reuse on site, easing water resource concerns, especially for operators in drought prone areas."
