Allbestos
Allbestos was an industrial tape that was produced between the years of 1941 to 1981. As the name implies, it was made from asbestos, a naturally occurring mineral that was a major component in a host of construction products. It became very popular because it had the ability to be molded into most any shape and yet remain strong, durable and resistant to cold, heat and even fire.
For years asbestos seemed to be one of the most beneficial natural resources on the planet, but ongoing mesothelioma research proved that despite all of the positive traits, it was a material that should never be used for any reason. The problem is that asbestos is toxic, and exposure to it is one of the leading mesothelioma causes. In particular, this hazardous substance is responsible for tissue scarring, respiratory problems, a disease called asbestosis and worst of all, Mesothelioma.
There is no mesothelioma cure. It has disrupted the lives of thousands of people, and been responsible for the deaths of many unfortunate victims, both men and women alike. Although asbestos was banned from use in the late 1970's, new cases of this disease still show up on a regular basis. The mesothelioma latency period is long. When asbestos was determined to be harmful, new regulations were created to prohibit its use. There were some manufacturers who continued to create items that contained the toxic mineral even after it became illegal to do so. The greed and lack of concern that these people displayed put their employees and client base in danger. Although Allbestos was a tough and durable product, over time it would wear down and deteriorate.
