The City of Medina is the county seat of Medina County, Ohio. Located about 30 miles south of Cleveland, Medina has a current population of around 25,000. The family-owned company, now Root Candles, is in its 5th generation, making handcrafted candles at its restored 1878 factory off the town square. The Henry Furnace and Foundry Company had its beginnings around that time as the Holloware Foundry.
