Situated along the Tennessee River in Western Kentucky, Calvert City occupies 13.9 square miles in Marshall County and is home to nearly 3,000 people. The city was named for Potilla Calvert, a wealthy landowner, who gave a portion of his land to the railroad in 1860, thus providing vital transportation opportunity and encouraged the city’s development.
