Fremont occupies 92 square miles on the southeast side of the San Francisco Bay in Alameda County, California. Home to over 214,000 people, Fremont is the fourth most populous city in the Bay area and California's fifth largest city. Fremont was incorporated on January 23, 1956, when five communities in the area, Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs, joined together to form a city.
